Aleksander Cheferin urged politicians to protect the European sports model. With this topic, President of UEFA came to representatives of 27 EU member states in Brussels on the Council of Sports Ministers.
For 70 years, the European sports model has been built on the principles of open tournaments, promotion and lowering in class based on sports merits, financial solidarity and recognition of the social influence of sports. These principles of UEFA have been guided from the moment of its founding.
