The Favorites at Roland Garros

The draw at Roland Garros this year was exciting. While the last decade was under the domination of the "king of clay" in this year`s contenders for the throne feel stronger than ever. Many experts predict possible surprises. Whether you think that surprises will be or not, you can test your knowledge in tennis.

The usual suspect, Rafael Nadal won nine of the last ten editions of the tournament (setting a record of won five in a row) and is one of the main favorites to win the title. The Spaniard is definitely not experiencing the best year of his career and is not in optimal form. Nadal lost four places in the rankings and is with a result by winfootballtipsters.com of 25-9 this season. Earlier, he said he does not consider himself a favorite in the tournament and wants to preserve his domination, so he will have to show everything he was capable of in the past.

One of the top tennis players who impresses on clay-court this season is Andy Murray. With a serie of 10-0 run, he won the tournaments in Munich and Madrid. Murray beat Nadal namely in the final of the Masters in Spain. This will certainly give him the courage to try to pass the semifinal phase, which is the most successful achievement so far. Like Djokovic he also will try to take advantage of the passing away force of Nadal.

According to many, the Serbian finalist from 2012 and 2014, this year will be closer to the title than ever. For Novak Djokovic, Roland Garros is the last Grand Slam title which he has not won in his career. He is also the tennis player in the best form so far and it seems that this year might be able to lift the title. Potential final Nadal-Djokovic, however, there will be not after according to the draw they will go against each other in the quarterfinals, provided that they are classified to this stage. But hardly ever anyone doubts that.
